10.3. Prorolling of hydraulic system

The prevention

The brake liquid is poisonous. Some types of a brake liquid are easily ignited. A brake liquid гигроскопична.

Effective work of any hydraulic system is possible only after removal from it all air. Process of removal of air of brake system is called as prorolling. At prorolling use only a new, pure brake liquid. Before the prorolling beginning fill a tank with a brake liquid above a mark the MOVE and watch, that level of a brake liquid did not fall below this mark.

On models Audi 100 which have been not equipped with system of automatic adjustment of height of a back suspension bracket, translate рычажок the valve of adjustment of pressure in a contour of back brakes as it is possible more close to a back axis and block it in this position. Prorolling of all hydraulic system is necessary for spending in a following order at the working engine.

Models Audi 100 with electronic blocking of differential:

 – The prorolling valve on the hydraulic module of system of blocking;
 – A brake of the right back wheel;
 – A brake of the left back wheel;
 – A brake of the right forward wheel;
 – A brake of the left forward wheel.

All other models:

 – A brake of the right back wheel;
 – A brake of the left back wheel;
 – A brake of the right forward wheel;
 – A brake of the left forward wheel.

PROROLLING – THE BASIC METHOD (THE ASSISTANT IS REQUIRED)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a plastic cap from the valve of release of air on a brake of the first wheel and put on it a rubber tube. Lower the second end of a tube in the capacity filled with a brake liquid. 2. Check up, that level of a brake liquid in a tank was above mark MIN and ask the assistant to squeeze out a brake pedal some times. 3. Turn off the prorolling valve (approximately on a turn floor), ask the assistant to squeeze out slowly a pedal of a brake and to leave its pressed. Wait, while the brake liquid will flow down. When the liquid stream will stop, close the valve, ask the assistant to release slowly a pedal of a brake and check up liquid level in a tank. 4. Repeat point 3 while in a following brake liquid there will be no air vials. 5. Reliably tighten the prorolling valve, lift the receiver and put on a cap. 6. Repeat prorolling operation on brakes of other wheels in demanded sequence.

PROROLLING WITH USE OF THE COMPLETE SET WITH THE UNILATERAL VALVE

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. In a rubber tube of such complete set the unilateral valve preventing hit of air and an old brake liquid back in brake system is established. The complete set also can include capacity for gathering of an old brake liquid. 2. After complete set connection to the prorolling valve, open the valve. Smoothly squeeze out a pedal of a brake and slowly release it. Repeat this operation while all air will not be removed from brake system.

PROROLLING WITH USE OF THE COMPLETE SET FOR PROROLLING UNDER PRESSURE

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Having connected the complete set for prorolling under pressure to a tank of a brake liquid, for system prorolling simply enough to open prorolling valves by turns for слития an old brake liquid and air release.

On termination of prorolling смойте the spilt brake liquid, reliably twirl valves of prorolling and establish on them caps. Once again check up level of a brake liquid.
